Winter Camp 2021

Over the span of five (exhausting) days, KKA's college students heard from 14 unique guest speakers. Some of these speakers were human resources experts who led our students to craft effective job application materials and conducted mock interviews to train them. Some of these speakers were graduate school students at Columbia, UMich, and the University of Miami; others were professionals working at Amazon, CitiBank, and Facebook. They imparted advice on graduate school and career goals and revealed challenges on the paths to academia and the corporate world. And finally, some of the speakers were social justice advocates who founded a global initiative to advance gender equality, research mental health issues among the Asian American population, and create provocative works of art to champion change. By the end of Winter Camp, each of our students left with a clear vision to integrate their future career with their commitment to the social causes dearest to them.
